If your baby’s name is not added in the birth certificate then you have 12 months time to add the name of the baby in the birth certificate. ( Under section 14 of the registration of births and deaths act 1969.
You can add the name of your child by writing a request letter to your municipal corporation office. Here is the sample letter format for adding the name in the birth certificate, which you need to submit it to your municipal corporation office.
