A bank authorization letter is a formal letter that will be given to a trustworthy person to collect money on behalf of the actual account holder when he/she is not physically available to visit the bank, The reasons are like going out of station or health problems, etc.

Most of the banks are allowing this facility. Tips: How to write an authorization letter to collect money from the bank

  1.   Always give the authorization to trustworthy persons.
  2. Write the date on the top right-hand side of the letter.
  3. Address the letter to the bank’s branch manager.
  4. Write your name and address details.
  5. Write the full name of the authorized person and your relationship with that person.
  6. Write the following details relating to the transaction.

  • Total amount
  • Date of transaction
